Outsourcing contracts depend on a partnering relationship between customer and supplier. Too often one or both parties just pay lip service to this concept, sometimes with dire results.
This master class investigates the meaning and importance of this partnering concept in outsourcing. It identifies the issues and reviews them from the viewpoint of each of the customer and supplier.

Speakers Details
Kit Burden - Chair
Kit is Head of the Technology, Sourcing and Commercial Group at DLA Piper. Kit is one of the world's foremost outsourcing lawyers and is listed as such in the various legal directories. He advises both customers and suppliers in relation to all manner of IT and business process outsourcing projects. He is a frequent writer and speaker on outsourcing related topics.
Clive Davies
Clive is Senior Counsel at Fujitsu Services Limited. He specialises in major IT and outsourcing project contracts. He has over a decade of experience advising customers and suppliers in the public and private sectors. He advises on all aspects of IT contracts including standard terms, software licences, development agreements, integration agreements and service contracts. He also advises on data protection and e-commerce.
Clive is Chair of SCL and one of the editors of Communications Law. He participates in the activities of Intellect as a member of various industry working groups. He regularly writes articles and speaks on his subject at events.
Joel Harrison
Joel Harrison is an Associate in the Communications, Technology & Outsourcing group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and is based in the firm's London office. Joel has acted for both customer and supplier clients on a wide range of matters, including information technology projects, outsourcing transactions (both ITO and BPO), data privacy and information security.
Richard Hawtin
Richard is a Partner in Baker & McKenzie's London technology group and a member of Baker & McKenzie’s global outsourcing and offshoring practice group. Richard specialises in information technology law including, in particular, major outsourcing transactions, high-value software development agreements and other large-scale technology projects.
Simon Winter
Simon is an experienced Senior Manager within Wipro Technologies UK Financial Services Practice with global responsibility for a strategic client relationship. Simon is responsible for senior executive level client stakeholder management, addressing their 'wants and needs' from an engagement perspective and ultimately ensuring that their customer advocacy is strong. Furthermore, he maintains ultimate responsibility for Wipro's global client engagement team.
In addition, Simon leads Wipro's business activities in the UK Insurance market, managing a consultative sales & client engagement team delivering accelerated growth.
