SCL would like to invite SCL members who are interested in becoming more involved with the Midlands Group to attend a meeting at on Thursday 22 July 2010 at 12.30 pm (a sandwich lunch will be provided). Bill Jones, immediate past Chair of SCL will chair the meeting.
It is the role of the organising committee to devise an annual programme of events for the Midlands region, expected to be three to four events each year. Events will focus on IT law, data protection, and technology issues.
It is expected that the members of the organising committee will meet in person at least once every year (most probably in Birmingham) as part of the planning process for these events. We are looking for at least five volunteers who would be expected to be involved for a minimum of two years.
If you would like to attend the meeting on 22 July 2010 please email Caroline Gould at caroline.gould@scl.org It would be very helpful if you would list your suggestions for topics future events when applying to attend the meeting.
