The first in a series of 3 sessions delivering practical tips and approaches so tech lawyers have a more effective role in digital transformation projects. This first session will cover:

    • The lawyer’s role in structuring the procurement process to drive better outcomes
    • Managing stakeholder alignment
    • Principles, Term Sheet or Contract – what to include?
    • Maintaining leverage during and the contract / legal response

Speaker bio:

Adrian Sim is an IT specialist who has market-leading experience advising clients on technology, cloud and digital transformation transactions.  Adrian’s practice spans a range of sectors including technology, financial services, life sciences and consumer products. He regularly leads and negotiates high profile IT procurement, outsourcing, cloud and complex systems development and integration projects on both the customer and supplier side.

SCL provides free membership for trainee lawyers until qualification and for UK students in full-time education with a valid ac.uk email address. Student members are eligible to attend SCL events at concessionary rates where a fee is applicable. Trainee members are entitled to attend SCL events at the standard members’ rate (the concessionary rate for UK students in full-time education does not apply). Trainees and UK students in full-time education can apply to join SCL for free by emailing hello@scl.org
