This event is the fourth Module of the third cycle of the SCL Foundations of IT Law Programme.
The SCL Foundations of IT Law Programme is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of everything a practising IT lawyer should know.
The aim of the SCL Foundations of IT Law Programme series is to provide a foundation for lawyers who are qualified practitioners (2- 5 years PQE) who have decided that they want to specialise as IT lawyers. SCL's two year rolling programme of twelve modules will cover all the key areas of practice in IT law. By attending the SCL seminar programme you can be confident that you will have the know-how and understanding to advise effectively across the whole range of IT law issues.

The cost of attending each module is £90 + VAT (£108) for SCL members, £160 + VAT (£192) for non-members and £15 + VAT (£18) for students and academics in full-time education, unemployed members or those experiencing financial hardship.

SCL Accreditation for SCL Lawyer Members
Attendance at these events will count towards the SCL Accreditation Scheme. Under the scheme you will have the opportunity to become an accredited member of the Society, marking you out as true specialist practitioner in IT law. Please note that completion of the SCL Foundations of IT Law Programme alone will not be sufficient to qualify as an accredited SCL member. Find more details about the Accreditation Scheme here
In order to complete the Programme, you are required to attend at least 7 modules in the series in person - a maximum of 5 modules can be taken online via the SCL E-learning scheme. However in order to get the most out of this Programme, you are encouraged to attend all twelve modules in person.

Non-members wishing to join the Society in order to take advantage of the discounted rate are entitled to membership of the Society valid for 12 months from the date of payment including full access to the content of the SCL web site www.scl.org, 6 copies of the SCL magazine "Computers & Law" plus notification of future SCL events. Application online or by email constitutes a firm booking and an undertaking to pay the meeting attendance fee. Cancellations will not be accepted (nor refunds made) unless received in the Society's offices in Bristol at least seven days before the date of the meeting.
