  • Oliver Bell: Introduction and welcome

  • Andrew Craddock will explain Agile and the Agile principles

  • Stewart James will then explain why a contract for Agile methodologies is different from a contract for a sequential approach and the issues that need to be considered

  • Richard Stephens will provide a counter point to Stewart's presentation, using case studies to demonstrate why Agile is not suitable for all projects

  • David Blamire-Brown will provide some real life experience of delivering projects using Agile methodologies. In particular, he will identify where and why they go wrong. We learn most from the mistakes! 

  • Panel discussion, Q&A and an opportunity for the audience to participate and challenge the concepts, propose their thoughts and share their experiences.

The cost of attendance at this half day event is £125 + VAT (£150) for SCL members and £195 + VAT (£234) for non-members. Bookings can be made online or you can email

Fees can be paid by cheque (cheques should be made payable to "Society for Computers and Law"), Mastercard, Visa or bank transfer. All invoices for attendance at this meeting must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date or prior to the date of this event whichever is the earlier.

Non-members wishing to join the Society are entitled to membership of the Society valid for 12 months from the date of payment including full access to the content of the SCL web site www.scl.org, 6 copies of the SCL magazine "Computers & Law" plus notification of future SCL events. The cost of an annual SCL membership is £135.00.
