Kelvin King, Partner, Valuation Consulting
The valuation of IP is one of the most important advances in wealth creation and this fact magnifies risk and liability assessment. In most acquisitions, IP and data (and supporting intangible assets) are likely to account for a large proportion of consideration. Every business has intellectual property rights, even if they are only in the name under which it trades. Just as importantly, every business uses other people’s intellectual property.
Even with the new international accounting standards, a company’s published accounts are still prepared for many good reasons but not for representing worth and value. Management and institutions obviously need to know the legal nature and the value of what might be the most significant asset in the company and business managers need to know, or should know, the value and financial opportunities of all assets under their stewardship and control.
This seminar will focus on current big IP valuation issues; occasions for valuation; valuation concepts distinguished; and methods of valuation.
Attendance at this meeting is free of charge and open to all. Please email email@example.com to book a place
