Founder, LORS | SCL Fellow

SCL Leading Accredited IT Lawyer

In 2004, I decided to leave the City and set up my own practice, focusing on my core skills while building a practice in new areas including mediation and arbitration. Prior to that, I had been a partner at two substantial City of London practices specialising in Technology Law.

While in practice, I have been involved primarily in advising the technology industry (broadly understood) and have acted in non-contentious and contentious capacities across the range of Technology Law work but also in intellectual property across a range of areas impacting the technology industries. I therefore have extensive experience of commercial litigation, especially focused on the technology industry, including arbitration and expert determination, as well as extensive experience of many different types of commercial transactions while acting for suppliers or users.

I have become well known in the IT Law field, having served as Chairman for two years of SCL and currently serving as Chairman of the Legal Affairs Group of Intellect. After stepping down as Chair of SCL, I became an SCL Fellow. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and am featured on their panel for IT/IP disputes. I am a Fellow of the British Computer Society, for which I have been appointed to act as Chair of their disciplinary tribunal.
