Our aim is to bring about a greater understanding of technology within the legal profession and to bring to its attention those emergent technology trends, topics and developments poised to change society as we know it. We aim to host events giving SCL members the opportunity to hear from leading minds from across the world of technology, and thereafter through panel discussions and Q&A sessions to provide a forum for informed debate on the role of the legal profession as society continues to adapt to these new technological stimuli.

Formerly a solicitor in the highly regarded Commercial Dispute Resolution department at Stevens & Bolton LLP , Oliver is now an Investment Manager in the Structured Projects team at Augusta Ventures Ltd, the UK’s largest and fastest growing Litigation Funder. A significant part of his current focus is on the German market, where Augusta is currently implementing at a number of innovative investment and funding structures. The team is also looking to develop other litigation funding opportunities in other markets and sectors, including insolvency, IT and aviation.
He is also a member of the board of the German British Forum, an organisation established in 1995 to reinforce pivotal political and business relationships to promote education and social exchange between Germany and Britain.
Drew Winlaw

Drew transforms business processes in legal teams. He uses data to identify the best candidates for redesign, facilitates appropriate consultations, then plans and manages the data and technology changes that are necessary until the new process is thoroughly embedded as the ‘new normal’.
He is a Technology Lawyer with both in-house and private practice experience. His in-house roles have been at companies operating in the fields of internet-based business process software (London) and on-line travel services (Cambridge). His private practice experience is within the Commercial & Technology Team at Taylor Vinters LLP.
