The Human Impact of AI – legal must-knows and must-dos on the cutting edge of Agentic AI, Physical AI and beyond

Event Details

  • Date: Wednesday 7 October, 2026
  • Time:
  • Price: £414.00 (Member price)
  • Venue: DLA Piper

With over US$100 billion in venture capital investment in AI native firms alone last year, AI is coming of age.  Agentic AI that acts on our behalf. Physical AI we get to use, not pilot, like self-driving taxis. Creative AI doing what used to be the domain of human authors, musicians and actors.  AI that can diagnose, or heal.  AI deciding who we recruit.  AI that does legal work.

At the cutting edge, the human impact is significant.  Also, polarising. A thread that will run through the day is what that human impact means for legal risks relating to AI. For many, the jury is out as to whether the benefits of AI outweigh the risks. Yet, the pace of change is not slowing down. This means that for lawyers advising, a key question is how to see the wood for the trees.

This conference will answer that – looking at the critical “must-knows” that define modern compliance and the “must-dos” that protect both lawyer and client at the cutting edge. It will draw out themes which cut across use cases and sectors, extracting common challenges and practical solutions – that perspective on what matters across use cases and sectors being so vital to any lawyer advising on AI.

Through a series of workshops, speeches and interactive sessions, this will be hands on seeking to simplify without being simplistic. To entertain but not trivialise. To give you know-how and approaches you can use and tailor in your practice. Covering legal issues arising from physical AI, use of AI for creativity, implications of agentic AI in practice and AI in recruitment and more. Also, the chance to meet world class experts and peers and network.

Full speaker list to follow soon.  We look forward to seeing you there.
